Sunfire Arabians -- A family affair...
Our farm is located on fifty-five acres of prairie grass
pastures, ponds, and trees in the rolling sandhills between Hutchinson and
Wichita, Kansas.
Sunfire Arabians began in 1995 with our first arabian
Rbl Sunfire, a golden chestnut colt reflecting the fire of the sun.
We are a family-run farm specializing in Egyptian and Varian bloodlines,
blacks and pintos. Our Arabians are truly a family project --
all our horses are loved by each member of our family and they often wait
at the fence just to be petted. They love to be caught!
They are handled from birth and grow up gentle and
affectionate towards people.

The Arabian is a people loving breed...
We believe that horses raised in an environment of affection
and discipline are more easily handled and trained because of the trust that
is established. They are willing partners and eager to please their human
handlers. We favor training methods combining the techniques of John Lyons and
Monty Roberts, using natural communication with the horse to achieve willing
cooperation without using fear and punishment.
The Arabian has been bred for hundreds of years to be a faithful companion
and a loyal partner. Arabians are a highly sensitive and intelligent breed and
have a greater tendency to develop an affectionate and personal relationship
with 'their humans' as most Arab owners can attest. Our son and daughter have each helped train their
horses, and they have learned much about how loyal a friend and dependable a
partner a horse can be, as well as learning responsibility and how to care for
them. Horses can be great teachers as well as students--not to mention
faithful companions and best friends!
